Fall Clean Up September 6-9, 2024

The Village of Rycroft has booked the bins for Fall Clean Up to happen September 6-9.

The bins will be open and monitored from 9am – 8pm. Please be respectful of signage and dump accordingly.

Water Use and Water Conservation – Water Restriction

The Village of Rycroft is experiencing lower than normal levels of water in its water reservoir system this year due to the lower seasonal snow melt and lack of precipitation. Water conservation measures will be implemented for the Village of Rycroft as the water levels in the Village reservoir system are being deleted at a rapid pace. As a result, water conservation efforts will be in effect July 17, 2024.

Water Usage Restrictions

All Outdoor Water Use including watering lawns, non-commercial washing of vehicles, sidewalks, pads, exteriors of buildings, filling of hot tubs/Jacuzzis, recreational use of sprinklers and like water toys, is permitted as follows:

Odd numbered addresses (Addresses ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, 9) may use water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays.

Even numbered addresses (Addresses ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, 8) may use water on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays

Watering of lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs may only occur between the hours of 6 to 9 a.m., or 7 to 9 p.m.

Truck Fill Water Station

• No Commercial and Agricultural accounts are active.
• All Residential accounts will be restricted to 16 cubes/month.
• No new water accounts may be opened until further notice.

All conditions will remain in effect until further notice from Council. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding in this matter

Request For Proposals: Buildings Rehabilitation

The Village of Rycroft is requesting proposals for the purpose of rehabilitating 2 separate properties in the Village of Rycroft. The Council of the Village of Rycroft have applied to acquire the Land Titles of 2 properties that went unclaimed at the June 12, 2024 Tax Sale. The buildings are significantly deteriorated due to lack of maintenance. Rather than demolish the buildings, Council has requested that a Request For Proposals (RFP) be advertised to see if there is any interest in private ownership. The properties are both located in the Village of Rycroft, at 4524 50 Street (Old Nunnery), and 4540 48 Street.

The RFP shall include:

• The long term future plan for the development
• The timeline to restore the buildings back to a useable condition
• The qualifications and experience of the contractors to complete the work.
• The names of the individual responsible for the overall delivery of the work.
• Proposed methodology for the job to ensure success and maximum efficiency
• Any other related information.

Written submissions will be accepted at the Village of Rycroft office located at 4703 – 51 Street until 4:00 p.m. local time, Monday September 30, 2024. Submissions may include either one or both of the projects. The submission must be in a sealed envelope and clearly marked as “RFP: Building Rehabilitation 2024”.

Proposals will be judged on presentation, pricing, ability, experience, and references. After the deadline, Council will review all submissions and make a decision on the next steps.
